Diamond Electronics Laboratory

The purpose of the project:
Research and development of active electronic devices operating at high power and high frequency based on wide-band semiconductor CVD diamond.

Main tasks:
Achievement of the conditions allowing the use of single-crystal diamond in active electronic devices operating at high voltage, high frequency and high power applications and in harsh environmental conditions, by overcoming the major limitations of the use of diamond as a semiconductor. These limitations are the quality of the material and doping. During the implementation of the project the delta-doping of single crystal diamond for increased carrier concentration, the growth of epitaxial layers of diamond with electronic quality, design and development of electronic devices using the unique properties of diamond will be demonstrated.
